Depression is a common condition that can stem from traumatic events, a difficult past, when one experiences a significant loss, or it can also appear for seemingly no reason, often involving a combination of biological and socio-emotional factors. It can create feelings like loneliness, fear, guilt, and make one question one’s self-worth. It can further lead to cutting oneself off from people, refusing to engage in any activity, even the ones that were once pleasurable.

Sadly, many people struggle with the condition on their own, for months or even years, before getting professional help.
